Wheesht Films is an independent production company founded in 2019 by filmmaker Angela Clarke.

The company’s first independent film, Bachelor, 38 was BAFTA nominated for Best British Short Film, in February 2019. After a short theatrical run, the film screened at over 20 international festivals. It also had a limited release on Curzon Home Cinema and was acquired by the BBC.    

In 2021, Wheesht Films launched One Stop Doc Shop, a podcast series featuring award winning women and non-binary documentary filmmakers sharing insights into their process, covering the highs and lows, and everything in between. Available to download on all major podcast platforms, the series was launched with the support of Screen Alliance Wales, Ffilm Cymru Wales and BFI Network with funding from the National Lottery. 

In 2022, it co-founded the Wales Documentary Support Network in partnership with Screen Alliance Wales with funding from BFI Doc Society. A multi-faceted project comprising on-line and face-to-face activities designed to identify, support, engage and elevate established and aspiring documentary filmmakers across Wales. 

In 2025, the company went into production with its second independent film, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, after receiving  funding from Uncertain Kingdom and BFI Doc Society.
